Hardwood Refinishing
Restore the original luster. Multi-step sanding, custom stain matching, and a clear coat that brings tired floors back to life — without the cost of full replacement.
Bring it back. Better than new.
Refinishing is the smart move when your hardwood is structurally sound but the finish is worn, scratched, dull, or simply not the color you want anymore. Instead of tearing it all out, we sand back to raw wood, apply your stain of choice, and seal it with multiple coats of premium polyurethane.
Most floors can be refinished several times across their lifespan. Done right, the result looks identical to a brand-new install — at a fraction of the cost.
What we refinish
Full sand-down to raw wood, stain and seal. Most solid floors can be refinished 3–5 times in their life.
Light sanding within the wear layer. We verify thickness before starting — usually 1–2 refinishes possible.
Scratches, urine stains and worn paths from claws — sanded out and re-sealed for a fresh start.
Cupped or stained boards replaced or sanded flat when possible, then blended into the surrounding finish.
Light to dark, or dark to light. Sanding removes the old finish so we can take your floor in a whole new direction.
An interim refresh — no full sand. We screen the existing finish and add a fresh top coat to extend its life.
How refinishing actually works
Assessment & Prep
We move furniture (light items), evaluate the floor's thickness and condition, and seal off rooms with dust containment.
Multi-Grit Sanding
Three passes: coarse → medium → fine. Edges and corners hand-sanded so the whole floor reads as one surface.
Stain & Custom Match
We brush sample patches directly on your floor so you see the real color on your wood — then mix to match.
Finish & Cure
Three coats of premium polyurethane, with a light buff between coats for that glass-smooth final feel.
